Innovative Marine SR 60 build! Project

So I decided to take on a project. I picked up a SR60 with a cracked front corner. Tank was still up and running. Held water with no issues at all. I figured why not let's start a project! So the fun begins! Of course I am not going to trust the crack. I decide to replace the front panel.

1st step called a local glass shop and ordered a piece of 10mm starphire glass. I have them edge it for me as well so it looks nice and clean.

As you can see in the second picture things did not go my way. I was off by .25" but totally my fault I gave the wrong dimensions. So I had them cut me a new piece. Third picture is with correct size glass

I also decided to replace the two stock pumps with one controllable DC pump. This was done to help with water changes. One issue I had with other IM tanks was having to unplug the pump every clean. Now I have a controller and just hit feed mode.

I take the water, coral and fish out of my IM30l and move them to the SR60. I use extra sand and stole a few pieces of live rock from an established 240 gallon tank. Also added the other 30 gallons of water from established tank. I used prime for the first week incase of a mini cycle but it never happened. Now here we are about 3 weeks later.

For filtration I have a Ghost skimmer which is currently not skimming due to only have two chromis in the tank and it being rated for 120 gallons since it is the full size. I have a IM media reactor running seachem gel. Left chamber has nothing in it and right chamber is a filter sock with some chemipure blue stuffed in it.

For lighting I have a hydra 52 right in the middle and two AI primes. I have a mixture of Blues which give me the exact blue look I prefer. The Hydra 52 is a UE edition so they replaced the dark blues with a cooler blue. I then replaced one of the pucks with a USA puck to add a bit more blue and then of course the AI primes have a different blue than the hydra. So combined together it's perfect. Corals seem to love it as well

I am currently manually dosing but plan on getting a doser soon (I forget to dose 70% of the time). I have a 7 gallon reservoir and a tunze osmolator auto top off. I also am using a Vortech MP10QWD for extra flow.

A quick picture of the 30 gallon next to the 60 gallon. I will tell you what, tile floors and cardboard go a long way lol slid the tank next to it so make the transfer easier.

Pictures of the 240 gallon tank I took water and live rock out of. This thing is a beast! Three sided starphire glass, DC return pump, 5 radion pro's. Hahaha just need to add Korea livestock.

The window is usually closed so algae is not an issue.

How did the plumbing work when you installed the one dc pump? Also what dc did you use. I'm thinking about picking me up this same exact tank.
