Hey Guys,

I've been on here before with my old Nuvo 38 gallon. I recently built a house and decided to upgrade the SR-80. It fit the space perfectly in our house, and I'm gone a lot so an AIO really suits me. The tank is roughly 6 months old (38 was set up for almost 2 years) and a lot of the coral and live rock came from that tank.

I ran into a few hiccups, and I hope to document all of that. But for now, let's bring you up to speed.

Here's the old Nuvo 38

5 weeks later, I moved everything from the old tank into the new

This is where it starts to go downhill.. Both clowns and my tang either got marine velvet or ich. I believe it was from cycling with the fire fish and not QT them first.. Really sucked. I tried to best to set up a hospital tank, but only the male survived.

I became pretty discouraged after loosing the female clown (15 years old) stopped taking pictures, and posting videos on YouTube. To make matters worse, the tank had a hair algae problem then I started getting a cyano bloom.

I stayed patient, and things started looking up. Algae went away, and I started adding a couple more fish and coral

Nice tank I have a Fusion 40 waiting for flooring to be laid before moving animals over. Its good you stuck it out. Each tank goes thru a break in period.

Tank looks great. Just keep plugging along. If taking care of tanks fish/corals was easy everyone would do it :)
Key is to learn from each mistake we make because most of us have made the same ones.

Thanks, it is definitely frustrating but worth it in the end. Let's continue!

What lighting are you using on your tank?

In all the pictures so far it's just t-5. However 2 weeks ago I added 2 kessil 160's for some shimmer

Nice tank! How do you like the IM is it pretty quiet? Considering the same tank and curious how you like it? Thanks!

I really like it! It's very quiet for sure, don't ever hear it. The build quality is amazing, and it's a great tank
