All right, I'm in it now. I've started dreaming about my reef tank. I'm very new to the hobby, but adopted an established FOWLR tank. I have a pair of beautiful mated clowns and I've been wanting to get them an anemone but I've been afraid it might kill them or another fish in my tank. I recently got a maxi mini not knowing their fish killing reputation, so decided to leave that one in its own quarantine tank forever.
Last night, my husband and I decided to pick up a bubble tip anemone for the clowns. I considered skipping QT, but too nervous that I could make the fish ill with ich. So I put the BTA in the quarantine tank, which is basically a second tank full of coral frags at this point.
I dreamt that I woke up, and the whole tank looked like it had been bombed. The tentacles were waving everywhere and taking bites out of a decimated hammer and xenia. The Duncan was a smoking plug, the mushroom was gone, the leather was half eaten, and my husband and I are attempting to battle the tentacles and keep it from jumping out at us. Then its star wars-esque purple head tentacle appeared with crazy teeth and ate a crab.
Thought you'd all appreciate my journey into horror.
The real BTA is peacefully attached to its new rock hiding from the flow this morning.
Picture attached of last night when I dropped it in and of the frag/QT tank.
