so I took some rock out of my tank a few weeks ago and ended up putting it on a table outside. not too long after, the insect guy showed up out of the blue to spray the outside of the house I rent.. I'm sure he didn't spray the rocks themselves, but obviously not ideal. what should I do with the rock before I ever put it in a tank again? bleach?

I probably would, considering they're dry rocks now anyway. Soak them in bleach overnight, then again in RODI water with prime. You can repeat the process etc...and I usually bleach once then prime twice.

thanks! i figured that'd be the plan.

of course the day before he showed up, i was pondering a plan to break one of the rocks and put it back in my tank in a couple places. he shows up at the worst times. anytime i'm doing aquarium stuff and cleaning or drying stuff outside, boom there he is. i can only assume he's attempting to nuke my tank despite his generally friendly personality.
