Looking for some ideas here. I ordered myself a Pentair 25W for my 60g tank. I am looking to install it but want to ensure I do it correctly from the start.
I have a Trigger Systems Sapphire 26 Sump, 3 stages, so first is protein, fuge than return. I unfortunately cannot place the UV directly to my pump as my manifold pumps out 180gph give or take when I need closer to 550gph, the pump runs at about 900 gph so in that case too much. If I do use the manifold and increase the pump gph which I can currectly @50% my overflow box cant handle that flow.
So was looking to add another pump a 550GPH just for the UV was thinking of doing the intake of the UV in the protein skimmer area and the out to the return area. I thought about placing new pump in return along with the out in return but feel like this could be a waste as could potentially be doing uv x2 on same water.
The other drastic option I was thinking about is redoing the plumbing all together and removing the manifold and having main pump to one return and on the other this new pump going through UV but that is of course much more painstaking but if thats the only right way so be it.
Any ideas?
