Installing a ph probe in calcium reactor

I wound up with an older MTC calcium reactor and want to intall a ph probe. Any thought on the best way?

What would I use to taper the hole? This is a first for me.

Also, in your link am I matching tube size or pipe size to 1/2"? Fwiw, I'm using a BRS Lab Grade pH probe.
