Hey all,

How difficult would it be to epoxy something like this in an active reef tank?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/corner-or-...55:m:m9xuUfBWhFYRwmDEGoLXuCQ&var=502163177971

(assuming of course there's space in the rockwork for it, with glass clear of coraline, GHA, cyano, encrusting corals, etc. Tank is a standard Aqueon 40B)

It seems that all you need is the right underwater epoxy/glue/sticky stuff. Is that the case?

i feel like if ur gonna do aomething like that in a running tank ur better off doing a outside the tank overflow box by lowering the tanks water level and drilling a hole and installing an overflow box on the outside of a tank with a over flow inside the tank.

I would agree with the above statement.

Better with an external overflow.. I couldn't imagine drilling a tank from the bottom up on the bottom panel. That is just asking for a bad clean up IMO

Actually, I want it to basically be a skimmer compartment like an AIO tank.

better off doing what i said getting an external overflow. or setting up a new bigger tank which then u could add a section or close off a section to use as a AIO. But tbh if ur gonna go through the hassel of adding a overflow might as well use a sumo.
