Instant Ocean 50% off

Same here, its the usual 39.99 a bucket. Thats what I always pay anyway. IORC and IO are always usually 39.99 a bucket whether it be petsmart, petco, chewy or amazon.

Keep an eye on Amazon, when it drops really low do a large order. I have ordered the box before from Amazon when the price dropped, and just dumped the bags in my IO bucket.

Petsmart is sold out. It's still on Amazon and Chewy for $39.99 a bucket for Reef Crystals.
No it isn't. It will still let me add 14 buckets to my cart and checkout.
Its quoting me $319.09 for 14 buckets of IO, which comes out to $22.79 each.

Ok. You are talking about the purple bucket. The orange bucket is sold out.

I can add them to cart... maybe it depends where you are located. Maybe they won't just ship anymore depending if you are by a warehouse or such since they are so heavy. Idk.

They do this sale a few times a year where I seem to be able to get it to 20ish a bucket.

I am tempted to buy more but would look like a salt hoarder as I still have many buckets from last sale lol

just ordered 2 $48.60 pick up at store
You are correct. I was only looking at my Cart which shows only one of the discounts. When I go to check out the price drops to $48.60. Thanks for making me check again

Yeah sorry, didn't realize you were looking for RC instead of regular IO.

looks like my local store still has (2) buckets of RC in stock and available for curbside pickup. $47.98 for both buckets after discount. $24 each.

Might want to check any of your other locals stores in any surrounding areas and see if any still have any buckets left in stock. might be worth a trip or be able to get them shipped for free.

I use regular Instant Ocean. I searched my email for prices I've paid in the past:
8/22 Chewy $37.99 50.3 lb (160 gal) = $0.76/lb
1/22 Petco $39.30 50.3 lb (160 gal) = $0.78/lb
3/19 Amazon $51.98 62 lb (200 gal) = $0.84/lb
1/16 Drs Foster and Smith $39.99 62 lb (200 gal) = $0.65/lb
As others have said, it pays to shop around :). Also I wouldn't assume that the 200 gal box will be cheaper on a per lb basis.

A bucket of IO has a (contents) net weight of 48 lbs. not 50.3.

IO buckets can be had for under 50 cents per lb during this sale, so much cheaper than you have paid in the past.
You can get (3) 48 lbs buckets = 144 lbs of salt for $68.38 plus tax. $0.475/lb ($22.79 each)

Thanks for the info! I relied on the Chewy website which says 50.3 lb. Yup it say 48 lbs on the bucket.

I bought 5 purple buckets at petsmart the other day. Not only did I score the 25% off AND free shipping AND like 6-8% back on Rakuten, but the honey app told me it would be cheaper with a gift card. My order was like $154 and the gift card cost me $140 so I got another $14 off. I wish I bought 10. lol

I actually got 6 buckets cuz why not right? I paid 140 for a $155 gift card through honey. I get cash back and I cashed in my honey gold for another $26 or so plus I had a $5 reward from the last time I ordered so I got 6 buckets today for $143 pretty much.
