I have the instant ocean regular salt, it has been mixing to 10 or 11 dkh. Is this normal and is it ok for coral

Depends on what you want your Alk at? I prefer a lower Alk but that’s up to you. Nutrient levels play a part in this as well.

I use tropic marin pro and it mixes to about 7 I dose with kalk and keep Alk around 7.8-8. That’s my sweet spot. So if you want lower try something else.

My local fish store sells it, but before they opened I purchased from brs. I buy the tropic marin pro reef

I currently use TM Pro. But I used IO for years. It works and is a lot cheaper. It's also readily available at most pet stores. I like TM Pro because it starts at a lower alk and allows me to dose more kalk and improve my ph.

I mix IO:RC in a 2:1 ratio making larger batches of saltwater and i get about alk 9.5, ca 425, mg 1300s at 1.025-1.026.
