That's the normal price on amazon. It does go up every so often but if you give it a week or so it will drop back to $39.99

You can also get the reef salt for $49.99 for 200 gal but that's at 1.021 salinity I run mine at 1.025-1.026 so I don't get 200 gal out of it.
