I have an Aqueon 125 with two weirs. Since both holes in each weir are the same size, I assume that means I can decide for myself which will be for my return and which my intake. My question is, is there a functional difference? Thanks for your time.

Both overflows/weirs are designed to have 1 drain and one return for each one.
Some run 1 pump for each also.
Thanks for the reply, but to clarify, I'm wondering if it matters which hole within each weir I place my returns. Can they both be in the holes facing inwards or outwards?

Either or should not matter.
