Hey All,

I finally got my tank filled and running and my intake is whistling from the little hole in the top. It also looks like I need to use some plumbers tape on the output as it’s leaking around the seam. Any tips ? Anything I am missing here ?

I appreciate the input!

I ended up expanding the hole a bit and the whistling stopped. Thanks anyways

It looks like you are trying to run too much flow through that durso standpipe. That is why it was whistling.

With a durso style standpipe you want to run the water level about halfway up the horizontal leg formed by the tee and the elbow that turns back down. I would throttle back your return pump in order to lower the level in the overflow some.
