InTank Fluval Evo Upgrade Question

Just my 2 cents. LOL!
My setup is as follows;
Chamber #1 InTank basket with flow diverter. Top section of basket houses 2 layers of carbon infused filter pad on top of a 50 micron pad.Middle section of basket contains a small filter bag with carbon cubes and a ChemiPure Elite bag.
Lower section of basket contains bio media (Twice the supplied amount that comes with the kit).
Chamber #2 contains my heater and a UV light that runs 24/7. The hole
in the false wall is plugged( plug came with the InTank basket.
Chamber #3 (the “pump house” as I like to call it) has a Sicce 1.0 with a “Spin Stream” on the outlet.
The Evo is a nice little “nano” setup but needs help in the filtration dept.
I'm running almost the same set up in chamber 1, but still have the sponge/small charcoal bag/small bag of bio media in chamber 2 with my heater in the DT. Might need to ditch my sponge as well and put my heater in chamber 2.

Let us know how you set up your chambers when you get you media baskets. The in-tank baskets are pricey, but they are nice and convenient and allow you to upgrade what others have pointed out is a "not ideal" stock filtration.

I put the chambers in today. I cut up the sponge and put some on the top rack of chamber 1 and the bottom of chamber 2. I put the activated carbon in the second shelf on #1. I put the bio balls on the bottom of #1. I also ordered filter floss and will order more bio balls to fill the other shelves. I have to 3D print a plug for the false wall as the one the baskets came with is too small. I’ll have to take a pic at some point of how it all looks in the end.

The wall plug that came with my basket fit BUT it was the suction that was holding it in place. Whenever I’d turn off my return pump, the plug fell out. I just glued it into the hole. Coralline is starting to form around it now.

I did the same...but I used a couple drops of my frag glue on mine. Never had a problem with it coming out and I also have Coralline on and around it now. The filter floss is nice for the top of Chamber 1. I order mine online and just cut it as I need it. Usually replace mine about twice a week.
