jebao DCP8000,

return come from back of tank
overflow box 6x13 sufficient?

need advise is it option 2 the best for my needs. attached. thank you for help.

happy reefing

Any particular reason why you would like to use an in tank vs external overflow??

hi josh, due to space. tank behind is staircase no access. afraid next time external overflow box leak unable to repair. unable to reach by hand. if opt for external how much space need, 1ft? for repair purpose

Roughly 6" or so is plenty of room to do any repairs needed which you would need regardless with the return coming from the back. If you offset the overflow closer to a corner rather than in the center it will make things much easier. Do you have a picture of the space where the tank will go?

I have my six-foot-long 125 gallon tank 5 in from the wall. I have my HOB overflow at one end of the tank and return with current flowing towards it from the other end.

However one thing I learned is unless you have extremely long arms 5in from wall does not give you enough room to use a magnet cleaner to get to the middle of the tank.

Personally I would move the tank over to the right about a foot, use an external overflow centered and put the return on the far left side. Are those glass panels easily removed?

thanks josh for assistance. unable to move the glass. what if i move the tank away from the stair 6inch just sufficient for the overflow box. will i able to maintenance if leak someday. if not then i just built the internal center overflow just like redsea tank. beananimal overflow applicable for internal box?

If you have the Overflow at one end and the return on the other than yes you should have plenty of room in case of a leak. Just make sure you have connectors because it will be a real pain trying to get your plumbing out in all one piece
