Can anyone tell me the difference between the INTENSITY (slider) setting and the SCHEDULE setting (for intensity)? Why are there 2 settings? Which one do you set first? What is their difference?
I'm using Mobius with a Gen 5 but I believe the same options are available with the Reeflink and older models.
(I tried calling Echotech but got machine).
Thank you!

Intensity is the overall brightness or wattage. Think of this as turning up the volume on a stereo. Schedule is the individual colors. If you were to turn all the colors up equally, you would inadvertently be turning up the intensity.
The analogy here is the bass and treble in the aforementioned stereo. Turn them to the max equally, you are effectively burning up the volume.
By controlling the individual channels, you can increase the bass without the treble, and use intensity to control the overall volume.
Hope that makes sense...

Thank you for your reply....but that is not the SCHEDULE that I am referring to. (Sorry I wasn't clear). On the screen shown below, there is a BAR where you can change the intensity. You will see on the bottom where it has "63". If you tap the number, another screen comes up where you can scroll the % higher or lower which changes the intensity of the light, just as does the INTENSITY slider that you wrote about. I just don't understand why there are 2 ways to control the intensity, and how the two should be coordinated:

Thats the intensity you want the fixture to put out. I beleive the slide you are referring to is the same Thing.

Yes, they seem like the same things but there must be a reason for having 2 ways to control the intensity which is what I'm trying to find out.

Great conversation... one thing id have learned and like to share is nutrient level. Make sure you have the proper nutrient level for your the increased intensity.. they do go hand in hand.

I have the same question. It seems redundant to have 2 sliders. one for sched intensity and one for point intensity. Unless, you want to create a center point Mid day that shots up to a higher intensity? I really dont like having to play around with this software. A tutorial would be nice Ecotech.

I spoke to an Echotech tech today. He said the INTENSITY slider (on window with color sliders) can be used to set intensities to different levels at different points during the day, as you suggested. But he, and most people, just set it to 100% and use the SCHEDULE % to control the overall intensity. Makes sense, but I don't think I will have need to set individual points to different intensities so will just leave the slider on 100%. (All the preset programs ramp up and down anyway, and that is good enough for me.)

I finally figured out all the settings on the Mobius (for the Radions) and see it is a pretty good program. But, it required at least 6 calls for support! They should really have some kind of an online manual for Mobius.

Thanks for the response! I pretty much came to that conclusion, but wasn't quite sure. I still hate the app, and so do my big, fat fingers.

It not really answer the question. Because if you set the intensity on a time for exemple too 100% and the program set up slide to 50%,will it be at 50 or 100%? Same if It out the programme slide to 100% and a intensity time to 50%,what will happens? Really this app is confusing, tree buttons ist very stupid, two was enough!
Also the app not seem to work when in the template I set an intensity, once I go outise the intensity go automatically down! But all tree intensity are at 100%an not acclamation mode is on???

I have a Radion XR15 blue. If I understand this correctly.
If I have all my colors set to 100% and my point intensity set at 100% and my schedule intensity set at 50% I'll be using 50% of the intensity of my colors at that point on graph.
If I have all my colors set at 100% and my point intensity set at 50% and my schedule intensity set at 50% I'll be using 25% of my colors intensity at that point on graph.
IE-if I have my blue(just blue all other colors set to zero) set at 100% intensity and set my point intensity at 50% I'll only get 50% of that 100% blue color intensity if my schedule intensity is set at 100%.(50% of 100=50). If I then set my schedule intensity to 50% I'll get 25% of my of my blue color setting of 100%( 50% of 100=50, 50%of 50=25). Right?

I’m exhausted..got the radions, mp40s & skimmer set up. Anthias already tried to fly..luckily the water line is a good bit lower. Still a little worried..maybe I’ll get some screen from Home Depot. Tang looked was not happy..he may have scratched himself. Clowns got over it quick. They were riding the current from the mp40s.

Anyone else find that some xr 15 GET blue are brighter than others? To match the intensity I have to turn one up by almost 10%. I hate Ecotechs QC.

This article helped me understand how it all worked light wise.

Why and why? Why can’t they just make something that’s easy to understand and use. Also, the preview is brighter that the actual scheduled lightings when I played it, why?

also, when I had a power outage, the settings were all messed up. One light was on and the rest were shut down. Then later, one off then the rest stayed on. Jesus Christ!

why?
