I treated my tank with Dr gs coral dip last night and cannot see any red bugs as of this morning ( thank god ). But all my crabs are paralyzed and one of my turbo snails stopped moving aswell. I have a sea hare that i cant find as of last night? Have you guys had any snails die due to it? Ive been told it may only affect crabs and hermits.

Not good for inverts.
Oh geez lets hope this doesnt crash my tank, the sea hare has been cleaning up all the HA in my tank. I thought interceptor just affected things with hard shells.

Snails have always been fine when I use interceptor and it only affects crabs. But dr. G’s could have other stuff in it and that’s why I never recommend it to anyone for tank treatments. I have never had a sea hare but I would not think that interceptor would kill it. But they do die easily when the hair algae is gone and in smaller tanks cause issues. The crabs should have been pulled out for the treatment for sure though.

I would definitely remove sea hare . They’re very sensitive to change in water quality what says adding any dips or medications

The issue is that i have nowhere to put ut during the treatment, i only have 1 QT tank and i currently have my fish there on copper. I guess i have to sit and pray it doesnt kill it or cause dinos to bloom in my tank again.

Yea i guess i can always buy more CUC, i couldnt move it in my QT since its under copper now. All DR gs coral dip contains is Milbemcyn oxime, Vitamin C, and RO/DI Water

i would see if an LFS can hold it for you in a display tank based on current circumstances

By any chance did you see any drop in alk consumption when you used it? So i can test alk everyday

Btw i still see some of those bugs on one acro so im gonna increase the dose twice. So far nothing has died.
