How do I dose this let it melt in warm water ?
How much do I dose half of it?
I have a 150g tank
Any info would be appreciated

You can look up dosages, 1 large dog pill = 300 gallons, but I doubt you could over dose the milbemycin portion of it. I dosed Dr. G's coral dip (same stuff) at something like 6x this dose a while ago and had no issues besides killing a bunch of bristle worms (I did not have any crabs or shrimp at the time). You will kill your pods, so restock if you feel it's necessary. Remove your carbon if you are running it, and take your skimmer cup off and let it overflow into your tank, basically you don't want to prematurely remove the medication. To dose the pill smash it up in some ro/di water to help it dissolve.

Thank you!

That Interceptor spectrum, it has praziquantel in it ! which is not okay to dose reefs with!
You want the non spectrum version of Interceptor which contains only M.O, as an active ingredient.

Praziquantel is generally okay to dose is reefs imo.

While yes I know many have used prazi in reef aquariums with little consequences other than killing some worms/other cuc,

However, Im not sure of the amount (Mg) per gal/lt used in suspensions like prazi, compared to the soluble amount that will be added via dosing the Interceptor spectrum to get MO in amounts to be effective against redbugs

Also, wouldn't recommend doing so unless the person is in dire straits, Red bugs only really threaten growth, PE and coloration, they dont wipeout colonies like AEFW, so not exactly a huge rush to treat.

If I were OP, Id try and obtain a product like Dr Gs or original formula Interceptor.

just my .02

I've seen several people on this forum use that specific formulation, and even use it at a much higher concentration for stuff nastier than red bugs without issue. My main concern with the prazi would be lower oxygen which is why I suggested leaving the skimmer running and simply removing the cup.

I just hit my whole tank with the Milbemycin Oxime only interceptor. Used 1.5 tablets (23mg) tablets for about 230 gallons. Only casualties were pods and bristles. A week after my corals have never looked better!

Yep everyone used to be scared of RB, but the real threat is AEFW.

Glad I've never had to deal with any of them.

It has been a long time since I used interceptor but when I did I used 1/2 a pill on my 112. Will kill crabs , snails etc. Acros loved it. A buddy of mine used to hit his tank 2 times a year

I always noticed crazy PE after doing follow up treatments a month or two after the initial treatment/no red bugs present, so it wasnt a "sigh of relief" response.

I think they like the artificial beef flavoring :D

I just dosed this same brand and the only thing I found dead was 1 blue legged hermit crab. I have about 150 gallons total water volume, I dosed about 1/4 of the tablet you can always dose more if you continue to see the bugs if you feel it necessary to dose again. Worked like a charm I am not seeing any red bugs at the moment.

Wow I am suprised that small of a dose worked, you a little over half the total recommended amount right?
