So I am planning in adding Interceptor in my 40 gallon to treat red bugs/white bugs. I do not have fish in this system as it's only for coral quarantine purposes. I read that just keep your skimmer on but remove the lid to keep oxygenation on. But the question is, I do not have a skimmer in my 40 gallon. All I have is an aquaclear 110 and a few powerheads. So is there to worry or people have done skimmerless tank with interceptor? Or can I just point my powerhead more to the surface to increase oxygen exchange.

Thanks

You have low filtration. I would dose at lower concentration.
Real caution is shrimps and crabs which you don’t appear to have
I would consider a skimmer regardless to supplement your filters which are freshwater type and offer no chemical or mechanical filtration
IceCap K2-50 would do well
Biological filter such as a penguin 400 will be more effective than aquaclear unit

no crabs or shimps. I do not have a sump so might be a challenge on the regular in tank skimmers. I could just put airstones but that will probably cause a lot of salt creep.
