I see that Trichodesmium that mines iron from Saharan dust is a filamentous cyanobacteria that also reduces N2. I wonder if any reef aquarium has this mining rust.

Filamentous cyano mats, but planktonic.
I have kept an eye out occasionally, but never seen anybody in the hobby post any microscope pics that looked similar.
