I got in a few live rocks to help me seed my dry rock with coralline and one of them had this rather large white growth on it. Thee seems to be a few tiny feather looking things sticking out of it. It looks to me like possibly a coral skeleton? Pleas forgive the wonky red and green casts as I adjusted the lights to not be so blue for the picture.

Thoughts?

looks like a dead leptastrea. they often come with barnacles that live in the skeleton. are they active? spinning around and 'scooping' food?

Thanks for the quick reply. They seem to just be moving with the current more than getting food.
