Hello. I have a hitchhiker sticking out from underneath a piece of live rock under a sun coral. It is hairy and has a lighter coloured honeycomb ball shape object attached at the end that drifts around in the current. I have looked around quite a bit but have been unable to identify it yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as to what this is.

Hey, thanks for the reply. More photos attached. Here is for reference of size with the sun coral. Tube is less then 1cm in size. Then the arm next to it about 2cm. It may be algae growing on the arm thats holding the lighter thing on the end then to the right, perhaps it is 2 creatures. One vermatid snail or worm to the left and then some sort of filter feeding protrusion under the rock to the right. Or it could all be connected. The purple material to the right is reef putty. Could it be some type of vermatid snail or tube worm? I havent noticed any mucus. I am considering whether to get it out as I heard there are many types of vermatid snail.

Wow beautiful, they sure do add aome color when the light go out. I took the pice out and took shots of the underside. I think theres a few hitchhikers on that rock, it is going into a seperate tank now so i can examine it. I think i nipped it in the bud early. I also attached a shot of my sun coral when open.
