I just recently set up a new tank and so far have mostly zoas. Tank is about three months old.

40gal T5 lights 40 sump with big skimmer and fuge and a MP 40.

Only two small clownfish.

Temp 80
Calc 410
Alk 8.8
Nitrate 0

I have 20 different zoas and plays so far.

Right now my zoas are shrinking in size and not opening all the way but they continue to add polyps. Plays, PE and the such seem to be doing fine.

I have tried different light levels but that doesn't seem to change anything.

Maybe to much flow but I haven't changed it an they where fine at one point.

Any ideas or things I could check?

check for pests also and little baby brittle stars they were irritating my zoas had to dip them to find out what was bugging them?

What is your mag level? I've noticed polyps seem to be more sensitive to mag levels than other coral.
