Will go straight go to the person in question, @Randy Holmes-Farley
Some one send me a question on how to read a salinity scale on Brix%
I have no clue but according to some notes that I saved from you a while back the level for that we using, SG1.026 the brix% should be at 1.33940.
That should be correct, right?
Here's the picture,

Word I been spying on peoples salnity here and there when I buy frags I check the salnity in the bag to see how some of the ballers keep theirs and I seen people trying to keep coral with salnity as low as 18 pretty much 9 out of 10 got it wrong I would buy the best refractometer double check it if u got a friend who's tank is tank of the month kind of deal u compare it with his adjust it if it needs to be adjusted and now u got one problem out of the way also if the other par r out of order that will also throw off your reading

Thanks guys.
This not mine refractometer but was Interested how to read this kind.
So basicly the reading it shows it to low in salt, close to 1.020?
My other question is now "what is a good refractometer?"
Not sure the one I have but I check it every week or bi weekly.

Thanks so much Ben for helping me with this! This has been quite an ordeal. I have since returned this refractometer and ordered a new one with a standard salinity viewing window. I had quite the argument with the guy that sold this one to me as he stated its use was for the marine aquarium. Obviously it wasn't. As far as its accuracy is concerned, I have no idea really. I've been using hydrometers for years and just decided to get a refractometer. When I test my water with my two different hydrometer, one reads 1.021 and the other 1.025. So I guess when the new refractometer comes in I'll be heading over to Diesel's house to double check it. Again, thanks so much for helping me here. I will be posting. My viewing window when the new refractometer comes in the mail.
