In summary, it indicates cleaner shrimp are effective against ICH. 4 species in the study.
They are better than cleaner fish as fish are susceptible to parasites and cant be bred in captivity.
Interestingly peppermint shrimp are more effective than candy stripe cleaners marginally. However they seem more likely to be predated. (anecdotally I have found this also to be true).
Most interestingly, they all do their best work nocturnally and are effective more against the Tomonts than the Trophonts, so if you don't see your shrimp ever cleaning it could be they are active at night.
