Assuming that pulsing Xenia, Kenya trees, gsp, zoas and Duncans are beginner level corals, what would be corals on the next level up?

Bad way to think about it - you are branching out, not leveling up. I assume you have pulsing Xenia, Kenya trees, gsp, zoas and Duncans. Do you like them? Xenia, Kenya tree and GSP probably need to go, or they will take over.

Lots of people have a 'zoas' focus tank. If that's what you want, other varieties are probably not harder to keep, just more expensive.

Do you want Acropora? Do you want them to be the focus of your tank? If so, you should get your lighting and flow where it needs to be. If not, a few hardier Acros might still work.

If it isn't going to be an Acropora tank, you probably want to find LPS you like. Lots of LPS adapt to a variety of PAR, but I'd get an idea whether you want a high light tank, low light, or in the middle.

I think its the sps and the nps corals, if you wanna go even braver, keep sea apple that can nuke your tank if not taken care properly, but ofc thats not a coral.
