I have a pygmy angel, not sure of age but young he is still really little.
Who has the long stringy poop thing going on, pretty sure this means internal parasites.
He is other wise, in perfect health..pig of an appitite and spends the day zooming around the tank picking at the LR.

I have ordered some Metronidazole....but it's being shipped 3rd party off amazon isnt expected to arrive until the 17th to jun 23 :/

So Q's...

Confermation that it is internal parasites?
When I get the Metronidazole how long do I soak the food in it before feeding? Few mins? hours?
How much of an emergancy is this? Can I afford to wait this long? Only local is petsmart which ya... If I need to I can make trip to the "city"

Yes, that is internal parasites and metro will treat it. However, you also need a binder (ex. Seachem Focus) to prevent the medication from leaching out into the water column. Ratio is 1:1 scoop (metro:Focus) per 1 tbsp food, and I let it soak for at least 30 mins before feeding.

It's impossible to say how much of an "emergency" intestinal worms are; depends a lot on the severity and the hardiness (immune system) of the infected fish. I've seen it kill in less than a month, but I also know someone who had a clownfish with it for 9 years before figuring out what it was and deciding to treat. :p

Thank you, humblefish :)

and that works out perfect found a two pack with both and prime will have both tommorrow. problem solved
