Hi All,
My emperor angel fish changing juvenile stopped eating any frozen foods suddenly. He is eating pellets and some flakes.
I think its internal parasite or indigestion he is having stringy poop. No other fish has this. i have 20 other fishes in the aquariums mall and big. I dosed prazipro to the tank and I saw some poop for couple more days. Questions.

1) In a closed system how does fish gets internal parasites? (frozen food)
2) Is prazipro effective ? I know metro is best but when fish stops eating how do you handle it especially when its difficult to catch
3) Do you guys proactively treat your fish once in a while for worms?

In a quarantine setting, treat with seachem metro and focus as a binder to its foods
Seachem neoplex is an option if no metroplex

If white stringy poo then it's parasite, otherwise not a parasite issue. I used metro and focus mixed into frozen food with garlic to help fish eat. Heard they can get parasite from eating other infected fishes' poo. I don't proactively treat livestock.

Here's a good thread discussing internal parasite
