Posted a thread joking about the biggest poo I’ve ever come out of a fish, and someone said it was a sing of internal parasites so I just want to check with you guys.

The poo is thick, with very clear signs of wastage inside with a brown colour as I’d expect a poo to look.

I have images of it attached to the clown, and also when she managed to snip it off

Honestly I just thought it was an abnormally large poo, I’ve been feeding a lot more than usual to try and accommodate some slower eaters. So she’s been eating potentially twice as much as regular.

Looks normal to me - just a lot of poop
Has the fish been acting off at all?
Not at all, happier if anything recently. Like I said, I've upped my feeding because of a new tankmate who is quite slow and needs that extra bit of opportunity to feed - so she's been eating more heavily.

While the poop mimics internal issue, it looks more like heavy mucus in the poop and can be caused by stress, constipation. If youre feeding mysis , brine shrimp or both- thatll do it

Brine shrimp it is. The brine shrimp isn't being fed for her, but I can't really stop her from gobbling it up. I mix her diet up with Vitalis Aqua Nutrition marine pellets as her main source of food, but she will still eat the brine as soon as it goes in the tank lol.

Would this cause issues down the line, should I cut it from the diet?

Pull back a little on pellets which can cause constipation.
