Ok, I've been reading about certain fish that can't be in the tank together unless you introduce them at the same time, well here's my question, so how do you quarintine them if you have only one QT tank ? if they can't be together ? mainly speaking of Tangs.

You make a good point. Difficult to put two fish that may not get along very well in the same small QT tank. I would take the least aggressive of the two and QT it first, place it into the tank. Put the most aggressive and QT last. You can always use an acclimation box when introducing the last fish (readily available online) and keep him / her in the box for a week or so in the display.

In a perfect world, you could introduce them together. However, the responsible thing to do is QT (as you stated) and it's not always feasible to AT everyone at the same time.

The best way to do it would be by placing a divider in your QT. Granted your not gonna divide a 20 gallon tank for two tangs but a 40B would be fine in most situations. This way they get used to each other in the QT without being able to fight. This also gives you the opportunity to remove the divider and get a sneak peak of how things will go in the display.

Agreed!

I hear you but i only have a 10G QT tank, so I guess I'll have to do them one at a time, and hope they get along when I place them in the display tank, now my display tank is a 210G I hope there will be enough room for them to be ok, now I was told at the LFS that I need to have 2 females and 1 male so if I QT them one by one that is way they'll be ok ?

Keep in mind, you don't need to use an "aquarium" to QT. A large rubbermaid tote will work just as well. As long as you can heat the water, provide flow and some PVC fittings to hide in, you're good to go.

Yea , i havent had much luck when it came to any type of qt tank, last group of fish I got 2 tangs included I put them all in the display tank at night and all together. never had a issue

but if I introduce them one at a time you think their going to harrasse eachother ? they'll be in a 210 gallon tank, but to be safe before I put any type of fish in the display I'll research on Qt'ing and introducing them to the tank indivdaully
