Introducing AF product into my SPS tank, a few question...

Hi,

First, here's my tank:
85gal SPS system, 40b sump, 25g LPS system hooked on sump.
Currently dosing FM utraAmin, MinS, MinD, Organic + color element.

I'm about to complete my transition from Red sea coral pro salt to Reef salt AF. I will eventually end up using the probio, but i purchased the reef salt first. I did the transition slowy while doing 5-10g water change every week.

My next step will be to replace the reef fusion (Alk-Ca) and SR aquaristic (MG) for the AF products (kh, Ca-Mg, reefmineral salt) + component strong.

1. i would like advice on how to transition with a minimal impact on my system ? are Alk-Ca-Mg and mineral as tricky as the Nutrients to changes ? how long should i take to make that change ?

2. My next question is regading the transition from the FM utraAmin, MinS, MinD, Organic + color element to the AF ABVE. I was planning on stopping FM after the Alk-Ca change is complete. I was planning to dose 2 time/week and slowly increase to full dosing over maybe 6-8 weeks.

I would first start with the salt change. After 10% water change for 4-6 weeks you can completely shift to new salts. In the mean time if your system need you can start dosing components to balance. You can always dose ABEV but start with half the recommended dose.

salt transition is basicaly over.
so i could now start dosing components Alk-Ca-Mg-reefmineral ?

Are u planning to mix them as component 123? If yes, then you can start dosing them and also the ABEV but half dose.

i had to read on component 1-2-3, yes it would be similar to this, but starting with bulk and mixing component A-B-C-K.
I started to reduce my dosing of FM and i'm doing larger WC to make sure in dont overdose any product by mixing both FM and AF together.

I should start Ca-Alk this week end. Maybe wait another week to start dosing ABVE
