So have a purple and powder blue the purple shows no interest in the mirror (he use to before the powder blue arrived) but the powder blue does have the chance to maybe get a black tang if i can get the funds together ( ALOT more expensive than over america more than double the price) the black is bigger than the purple and about the same size as the powder blue what you guys think risky? 90 gallon tank the black tang they said is 5 1/2 inches

I think it sounds a bit risky in a 90 gallon. Purple and powder blue can both be aggressive to new arrivals. Let's get @vetteguy53081 oppinion I since he is very knowledgeable with tangs.
Powder blue one of the worse for being a jerk especially at introduction.
Purple is hit and miss and mine was horrible but really calmed down to my surprise. 3 in a 90 is the max i would do and not long term. 125g and up is ideal

i have introduced fish to the powder blue and forgots about the other fish once it is done with the mirror it's the purple i'm worried about being the same species but also smaller than the black would be but then again i have not introduced another tang to the powder blue i introduced a goldflake angel was not happy but put a mirror up and when i took down the powderblue showed no aggression to the goldflake

It seems like a decent risk in a 90 gallon, that's a lot of money on the line for the chance that there wont be any aggression issues. 5.5 inches on black tang is a small dinner plate, I would look to upgrading tanks if possible and then introduce all fish at the same time.

Purple was my worse but has become a model citizen- was my worse for introduction
It’s a risk always as each fish responds to another differently
The mirror is a good tool but is not 100%

i wish wooden floor says no to upgrade

90 is tiny for a Blank Tang.

My Black Tang came in around 3.5" and in a few years was the size of a large dinner plate.

There were also many other tangs, including a few Zeb. Tangs like 3 yellows, a gem and a purple. When the gem was added, the black really took off in size.

I would really just take that list like a grain of salt, those numbers are mostly for singular fish and the relative size and swim space they need. But when you include other fish with their own territory's that equation can change drastically.

I don't understand what you mean are you saying that a fish requiring a 90,120,125,180 gallon tank should be the only fish in the tank

From experience please don’t do it!
I had a 125 gallon with purple tang achillies and naso and added a black tang and the black tang lasted 3 weeks. The purple and achillies were relentless. I tried every trick in the book nothing worked. I understand you want to add black tang but they are not a cheap fish and unfortunately you will regret it

Sorry for the negative response

Crapshoot on that one. I have 4 zebrasomas in a 120 and I admit I'm beyond pushing my luck. 3 of the 4 tangs were already together and came from another 120g tank breakdown. The previous resident (sailfin) has now grown larger than the other 3 and its now the boss... I see the occasional fin flaring and posturing but they get along OK for the most part, I also have a LOT of caves, over 100lb or rock and keep them fed with frozen & nori nearly daily. Be prepared for some nipped fins and aggression. That powder blue is a terror typically, I wouldnt be suprised if its gonna have to go.

that's the response i didn't wanna hear but i will take it you are right it's a £2400 fish and if anything goes wrong i don't have another tank to put it

Sounds like an epic fail. Be ready to save him from any aggression from by the PB or Purple.
