Introducing my yellow chromis

Cool! I love livestock photos. Most excellent!

Surprisingly out of
Yellow wrasse
Purple fire fish
Lemon damsel
Tomini tang

The aggressor of the tank is…the fire fish. He wants to be front and center in middle of the tank and gives a little chase if anyone tries to come near his area

He's a Chihuahua, lol

Just an update the lemon damsel is a terror. He’s about 2” in a 75g tank and I added a 3.5” tomini tang and the tang just minds his business and explores and the lemon damsel aggressively chases and has nipped/tore fins and I can’t catch either one @Baby Damsel 219

Interesting thread with a bad turn. Sorry.
the rolling stones GIF

I've drained a lot of tanks to catch fishes like these, and export the naughty ones to the sump or the dump, I don't have any sympathy for the Devils.

doesn't seem to be a lot of rock. He needs territory to claim and he will just claim the upper part of the aquarium with your tang. Feed the tank heavily to address this problem. the nitrates will be used up by your coral then at night turn on your room light and get a net and bucket, then scoop him up and put him in the "sump or the dump."-Krisreef

He’s still shy, and has a bit more coloring up to go, but decided today he wouldn’t be camera shy and let me get some pictures. When stressed from changing environments or shipping they become a pale blue gray, and the yellow returns as they settle in and get comfortable. After almost a week, this is how far the yellow has come back

But here is my new yellow chromis, I figure I would share because I’ve never seen golden or yellow chromis, he’s friendly to my fire fish and wrasse, and is eating flake food and mysis

Shout out to @DetroitReefClub for this guy and the yellow wrasse

Beautiful and indeed shy

Just an update…the harassment only lasted a day. My tangs fins got a lot of nipping on day 1 and from day 2 onward the damsel shows no interest in the tang and they swim by each other peacefully

I had the same thing happen with my new blue-lip tang and my two Springer's damsels... It was the tang's fault though, he kept trying to claim their caves.

After a day, he found his own spot and the damsels left him alone.
