Hi. Hope doesn't sound a ridiculous question.
A lot of information discusses how to introduce a new fish, invertebrate etc into a new tank ie drip method, lights off etc. Also benefits of quaranteen tank. What a lot don't discuss is whether one should premedicate ie worm; or dip the fish ie freshwater, formalin, prior to the transfer into a display tank.
Do the LFS medicate the fish prior to display partic as a lot are live caught rather than captive bred.
Again I hope this makes sense
Jen

LFS often medicate, but never fully trust someone else's method for your own fish.

Dips can kick some stuff off of a fish, but doesn't do anything for things that are encysted or for eggs.

Dipping can also be strssful, so the fish being able to setle in a qt rather than the dt can help tgem to recover.
