introduction

hi fellow reefers, i'm an average 21 year old with a passion for reefing, it all started when i was a kid, my dad has always been into fishkeeping and from as long as i can remember we have had a fishtank at home, in 2014 i got the most crazy opportunity of working in an lfs (i'm from the tiny island of malta and the number of reefers here does not exceed 3 figures) there i learnt how to keep a saltwater tank which i had always been "afraid" of before, even though my dad always wanted one we kept discus and malawi cichlids up until i started working in an lfs. Here i learnt the basics and i started my very first saltwater tank, from then things spiralled and i became obsessed, i managed to convince my dad to invest in a proper marine set up and here i am...........

Just to clear things out this is not my first reef tank but the first one I've done properly, i started with a Nano (40l) yeah not a very good idea, then converted a 200l to marine from fresh (no sump so was using a canister filter, and an internal skimmer) this tank lasted quite long but i had a dino breakout so i tore it down, its now sitting in my garage as a quarantine. i still have the nano but its lying nearly empty (just a bubble tip, a mini-maxi anemone and a catalaphyllia inside it) i put the catalaphyllia there as it de-skeletized (bailed out of its skeleton) and then split. i put both in the reefer and one of them got caught in my wavemaker so i put the other one in the nano where it is growing a shell.
