Will invasive corals like GSP and pulsing xenia REALLY stay isolated on an island for the long term? Or will they eventually break off and spread to other areas?

This is what I was concerned about as well. I saw videos of people trimming GSP back and didn't know if some GSP particles would float all over thr tank and pop up everywhere.

I think it would be cool on the back wall but not if there is a chance it just pops up everywhere because I was trimming it.

Gsp does continue to grow and mat out, trying to reach the main structure. Just move it or drag it as need be.

depends on type of gsp and xenia. Some gsp will spread onto sand and some xenia don't drop heads to spread. My first gsp behaved and never left the rock island, the new gps species I got has to be trimmed back or else creeps onto sand and starts spreading. Current xenia I have doesn't spread and remains isolated on rock island.
