Invasive soft coral??

'm a newbie and need some help. I've been unable to identify these brown polyp feather duster looking things. They're popping up everywhere and growing rather large. They seem to be killing the button polyps. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to say that is aiptasia. There are a couple recommendations for removal. Peppermint shrimp, copperband butterfly fish (if your tank is large enough) manual removal.

Wow that’s a lot of pests in one photo. You could probably raise some nudibranches with all that aptasia and sell em back to people

Sorry to say that is aiptasia. There are a couple recommendations for removal. Peppermint shrimp, copperband butterfly fish (if your tank is large enough) manual removal.

Also Matted Filefish (Acreichthys tomentosus) is a good choice but may eat or pick on Zoa's. This is usually my go to solution for Aiptasia. While the fish may look unappealing or bland it is really a great fish. Slow. Hovers over the rock. Changes colors to some degree. Always moving and not aggressive towards other fish. In some cases will also eat prepared foods while also making short work of Aiptasia.

Since I do not see any other corals other than the button polyps, which can also be considered as a pest, I'll just toss the rocks if I were you.

No need. Few items will make short work of that believe it or not.

Inject a little Kalk paste on those suckers!

I've never heard of Kalk paste. I'm going to Google it now

It looks as though lemon juice will kill it if I can inject it right into it's mouth and doing only a couple at a time to ensure it doesn't raise the ph I'll probably give this a try tomorrow Thanks again guys!!
