Some of my zoas are open but they look like they are inverted. You can see their color but they are not open spread out but like a ball almost and cant really see their skirt. Does anyone know what this means?

Its like the open and roll down... i think they are getting enough light

Like this?

either they are very hungry or they were grown too quickly where they don't close properly. I have some that will close like that if i take them out of the water too fast.
If i see them closing like that i put them back until they open and then put them in the current blowing upward on them to help them close properly. Fat little suckers.

Some of mine do that when I add part 1&2. All marine life absorb water and nutrient through osmosis(thru the skin) so my theory is that some zoas and palys may experience osmotic shock, then return to normal once they level out the ph in their body. Just a theory

The polyp furthest away has gotten smaller and appears to be dying.
