You can always add more later but you dont want them starving. My 90 gallon had been cycled for about a month now. I have a total of about 15-20 various snails, an urchin and 10 hermits and I worry I may need to add food for them

Any local fish stores? That 10 gallon pack may be overkill. 3 astrea, 1 trochus, 2 narrarius, and 5 hermits would be plenty for now

Get some extra shells so the hermits dont kill your snails

With a new tank I always choose 1/2 the size recommended by @reefcleaners

Then about 6 months later I add that size again.

You are not adding much as far as nutrients so for now you shouldn’t see much algae growth.

But as you add more fish, then you will have more waste.

That’s why I do half when new, half in 6 months.

I would recommend visiting reefcleaners.org and purchasing the appropriately size CUC, with or without hermits.

I’m not a turbo snail fan.

I can’t stand a turbo snail. They can mess my zoa frags up in a hurry

If you have a fish store near you, I enjoyed adding my CUC a little at a time. two turbos, two more, some hermits, etc.. You get a feeling for what each one is eating and have the opportunity to fine tune
