I'm going to get rid of some aiptasia with injecting hydrogen peroxide. I have food grade 35 percent. My question is, is there any effect on invertebrates. I have a couple shrimp that hang out in the area i'm going to target, I thought I had read or watched something that said it could effect the shrimps exo-skeleton or something to that nature.
I'm not entirely sure I am going to dilute it, as it will be pretty much be diluted on contact with the water and I'm going to use a very small amount probably inject the base then a small amount to the mouth as it closes up.
Any advice welcome, I'm only going to hit probably two or three and wait until another day to do more, also feel free to move this post I wasn't sure where it belonged.

Do you have any kalk you can make a slurry out of? I've used that for years without any problems.

I'm not really dosing though, am wrong in my thinking. I mean if i had to I could wait a week in between and get a few at a time. I don't have any kalk no, im going to go with a method i read another forum of vinegar and salt injection then the hydrogen peroxide. After reading the thread mentioned, I have no idea if there are any preservatives in my hydrogen peroxide as the label was very cheesy paper, and when i got it the bottle was already expanding and leaking so i had to rinse it and the label was lost. I mean I'm not dosing to get rid of algae or diatoms just to kill the aiptasia.

I haven't injected aiptasia, they always retreat into a hole.. I have injected pulsing xenia with vinegar and with peroxide. The h2o2 didn't do anything. The vinegar killed it.
Personally, I would try the vinegar first and see how it goes.
Edit: I used 3% h2o2.. I'd still try vinegar alone first

Inject them with some lime or lemon juice . Best way for me and have never had problems.

Yeah probably can't hurt to just start with vinegar, unless it spreads like wild fire, thanks for the input. I would definitely hat to lose any of my shrimp, I don't even really care about the aiptasia for now except its ruining a lot of spots for the fish to hang, so it needs to go.
