Inverts in a tank with ich

Just had an outbreak of ich in my 13 gallon tank. Killed a couple of my fish and i heard that inverts are not affected by ich. Would it be advisable to put inverts in the tank to control the algae i was also thinking of breeding snails in it.

Inverts can be added as they are not prone to ich, but the 60 day fallow has to start when the last one is added, otherwise you risk introduction of disease during fallow.
