What cuc crew can I have with a sharp nose puffer. I really need algae eaters. Algae eating Fish are out of the question. This is a 55 gallon tank.

If I’m correct, those guys eat shrimp and crabs. So those guys might turn into a snack. You could try snails, I don’t know if he’d eat them or not though.
I’d probably use a supplement to get rid of it or preferably manual removal.
Or lowering nutrient to help combat it, hope that helps.

Thank you. Anybody have a thought about a seahare

hermit crabs and asterina stars, worked well for me. Occasionally lost a hermit crab to the puffer but cleanup crews need regular replenishment anyway. And it’s probably good for their beaks to get some hard shells in it.

It depends on your nutrient levels as some cuc hate high nutrients in the water. If they are ok and you aren't going for corals, then a tiger cowrie could work. The smaller money cowrie are also an option as they are nocturnal but only have a small slit at the base, unlike the larger openings of other snails. This makes them pretty safe even with hermit crabs.
I wouldn't try a seahorse as they are basically as soft exposed animal and any nips will do damage. You really need armour plated things.

Mine picked at snails. Urchins/hermits were fine. It went after emeralds but they would just fight him off

I had cleaner shrimp and they were fine...... when I transferred tanks, and removed rocks (so cleaners fell out of rock work) it ate two of them immediately before they found a new spot to hide
