Does anyone know the iron level in reef crystals. I'm told dinos thrive with high iron and I don't want to make my dinos worse. I'm just starting to get a hold on them. TIA

Well not sure but I use reef crystals and every time I do an ICP test it comes back zero iron. A matter of fact, I need to add some iron to tank to grow cheato. Anyhow, exactly doesn’t answer your question since every tank is different but that is my experience

Here is a thread where another user sent of a batch of water made with Reef Crystals. I didn't read the article but his results showed 0 iron.

I just got back my ICP test for my box of Reef Crystals that I mixed to 1.026 via a hanna salinity checker. It seems to me that the batch is mixing far from what is typically reported. Can anyone take a look and confirm this? Recently I switch off of reef crystals because I was having issues...

Iron does not stay around long in our systems.

Reef crystals- iron classified as Ferrous at Low level concentration and will like oxidize and dissolve when mixed with sea water

Water changes are associated with helping dinos, but there's no convincing evidence that iron is the cause, or that RC is any higher than any other salt mix.
