I'm looking to make DIY versions of these and I think I have my maths correct but I would appreciate it if someone could double check and also am I using the correct I and MN powders.

so current iodine supplement has 5g/1000ml. DIY version uses sodium iodide at 10g/1000ml so I would half my current dose to keep up with demand. 2mls per day would drop to 1ml per day.

manganese supplement has 100,000ug/1000ml which is 0.1grams. DIY version uses manganese (II) chloride tetrahydrate at 1g/1000ml so thats 10x stronger then my current supplement. 4mls per day would drop to 0.4mls per day.
I could make the manganese weaker by doubling the water to 2000mls and dose 0.8mls per day.

I do regular icp tests so u can keep an eye on these from the tests and fine tune if needed.

.

5 g/1000 mL of what? iodide? Sodium iodide? But certainly, if a new supplement is twice as strong you use half as much to attain the same dosed amount. Ot you can dilute the new DIY to the same concentration as the one you are using now.

Same question for the manganese Most likely the original is just manganese at 100 mg/L, not counting the chloride and hydrating water.

hi randy, thanks for the reply. I'm unsure what is used in my current supplements as they are the Triton ones and I'm guessing it wont be available publicly what they are.

do the numbers look right from what I have worked out or am I off?
