Iodine dip too strong...will they survive?

Well, I had some polyps disappear so I did a lugols dip thinking it might be a pest. I used about a cup of tank water and probably 20 or so drops of lugols iodine. Dipped for 3 min and followed with a rinse in tank water. Here’s what they looked like before (kinda, older pic) and here’s what they look like immediately after dip. Think they’ll survive?

For the most part you should be ok. Lugols dip or Peroxide dips can be harsh on zoas. Most zoas will typically show signs of recovery anywhere from a few hours to a week in some cases I've notice.

Hopefully they will be ok.

Lugol instruction say 40 drop in gallon of tank water 10-15 min. I just dipped some. I used 20 drop in 1/2 gallon. 20 in 1 cup is high. Not much to do that I could think of now to do other than keep an eye on them

Thanks, will let you know what happens. Was following some post that advocated a concentration that resulted in a very dark color water. Afterwards, saw more posts that suggested a lighter dose. Yet another 30$ reefing lesson...

Leave them alone... they will probably survive. Set good lighting and don't change light at all and keep water params stable. If the system is mature enough and running stable and they should survive.
