iodine dipping?

Is regular iodine that you can get at the drug store ok for dipping zoas or do you have to use a specific kind? If a drugstore brand is ok, what is the iodine to tank water ratio?

I've got a couple zoas that a friend sent me that have not opened yet. Afraid they might have some kind of infection. Also want to start dipping them in iodine when fragging.
