Is Iodine still considered not vital to coral health.

I do not think anyone really knows the extent of what its use is but there is iodine in seawater.
Also Iodine has been found in certain corals like gorgonia so it seems some corals use it.. It also is found in other marine organisms we keep.
I add at least a little on a regularly but do not test for it.

My Zoas grow better and have a much healthier appearance when I’m dosing iodine trace elements. That’s the only ribbon I’ve noticed and it’s a fairly significant difference with.

One drop of Lugol's a couple of times a month and my zoas get noticeably brighter.

I dose Iodide weekly,,I only have zoas and palys but a definite difference for the good..
this is much debated topic but im on the side of the fence where dosing Iodide is good and results are very noticable..
I maintain high nutrients on purpose and water changes are not an option to replenish iodide ,,hence why I dose weekly
search the net and youll get every answer you want but get a small bottle of Iodide and see for yourself but do your research first and a good test kit is a must until you get used to dosing iodide routinely
