So about 20 minutes ago I dosed 2x the recommended dose of Iodine because my levels were quite low. About 5 minutes ago almost every Invertebrate started releasing sperm & eggs, Snails, Crinoids, Hydroids, Rock Flower Nem, and my hermit crabs looked like they began mating. The Crinoids I was very surprised about because i've read it's literally impossible to get them to reproduce in the aquarium and sadly I wasn't thinking at the time and didn't get any pictures/video. I am just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Due to the amount of Filter Feeders I have the cloud of unborn babies cleared up quite quickly, Has anyone else had this happen or is this just a me thing?

That is going to be pretty cool to see.

I have heard stress events trigger spawning. Perhaps the sudden change triggered it due to stress?

So heres the footage, I tried to get a video of the Crinoids releasing the sperm as they were still releasing hopefully you can make out some of the eggs that are floating in the water column (video is kinda bad since it's a Hero4 GoPro)

Very interesting, I started dosing iodine and after a couple days woke up to a cloudy tank (suspecting my nems). Iodine came back low in a couple of Tritons.
