Do you think Iron has any critical value for corals necessitating dosing or higher values in salts?
in comparison to other elements (other than Alk Ca and Mg) where would you rate the value of Iron dosing for corals compared to other elements commonly dosed.
I realize Iron has some value for macro alga but I fail to see how to direct the preferential use of Iron to MAcro alga and not to nuisance algae in tanks which is way more aggressive in sucking nutrients or elements than corals or macro algae?

We do not have any good way to judge iron availability in a tank except by trial and error dosing. Some people claim that iron dosing improved their coral colors, but that may not extrapolate to other tanks.
