Irritation from rally pro & No ich?

I recently applied Rally to my RSR350 for six days to deal with what I thought was a persistent parasite issue. I later found out that one of my fish was probably flashing because of sky-high nitrates and phosphates which were reduced by water changes over a week. I did note that the Rally application appeared to irritate the fish in my tank after the fourth day. I'm somewhat skeptical about extended applications directly in the tank.

Well the angel, butterfly, blenny and a mandarin are dead. It may have spread to the tang at this point. It is definitely parasitic but I am still not sure what - at this point I feel I may be doing worse by dumping rally in for the 10th straight day. Here is the angel - stopped eating this morning and you can see the odd discoloration on the back half

I'd certainly be hesitant about continuing the Rally at this point. The bottle itself warns that it's ineffective against ich, which you suspect to be pathogen at work here. Perhaps @Jay Hemdal can help.

the remaining fish are all captive bred and have shown to be remarkably resilient against this - I am doing water changes and going back to Herbtana to give the tank a break and hopefully get them through

Were you able to get better pics or have confirmed the issue?

What fish have not made it and what has? Possibility that the remaining have thicker coats. Captive breed trypically don’t have the immunity that collected ones will

You’ve said that you are unable to set up another qt. what ever it is you plan on dosing will not fix the issue and you really need to identify and plan a course of action and I would keep the fish far away from the DT that is infected

As quick as the fish have died I would probably rule out ich and lean more towards velvet, brook or uronema.

Hi. coming in to this late, but I would skip the Herbtana, it is only a tonic and does not have a good track record for controlling actual disease, once fish have died. I scanned this thread, but I'm leaving in a minute for a medical procedure. We should probably regroup at this point and consider what needs your current fish have? They have survived so far, but if there is an infection going on here like I think there is, they may need hyposalinity or copper.
