Hello, I have these little starfish in my sump. I have hundreds of them. Is it a problem if there is too many? I feel bad killing the copepods when I harvest my macroalgae so I don't know what to do with them

Micro brittle stars I believe.

Available food will control the population

You could easily sell them and I for one would be placing an order if you would ship!

FWIW, if they are at overpopulation levels, a Harlequin Shrimp may solve your problem quite naturally. Not certain they dine on that species, but they dine on most.

I'm not interested in killing them I just want to know if they could become an issue. They're only in my Sump they're not in any of my display tanks. Or any that I really notice

They are probably in your tank as well. They are primarily nocturnal but you may see a tiny arm here and there during lights on.

They are an excellent CUC member!
